how does 3' downpipe cat delete, 2.5' borla exhaust, mopar stage 2 w/o toys, and spiking 20lbs and holding 16-17lbs of boost ..and big front mount intercooler only add up to a 10hp gain@ the crank? my mods are similar and it sure feels like i got way more than a 10hp bonus.

edit: just figured out that you're probably talking about the mustang being 270.

 

yea, im probly closer to 300whp and the mustang is probly 270 at the crank

 

I've been driving my dads 99 Mustang GT for a while now. I think it only has a flowmaster exhaust along with different gears. Any close to stock Civic Si shouldn't be able to keep up with the GT. Your friend can't drive. You should def. be able to beat him if you driving the civic gave him a run for his money.

The Si vs. Type-S was a complete drivers race since they have the same engines and transmission IIRC. Good kills on all fronts though!

i finally raced the gt the other nightin my carand he just got some flowmaster 40 series put on and it sounds good and he says its more powerful. We raced on the same street as always and he wanted to do it from a stop but i didnt want to because of the condition my stock clutch is in(i would probly break it if i launched the car) so we did it from a 20mph roll and everyone who has an srt4 knows u cant get traction in 1st gear but we did it anyways. After he honked three times i feathered it through 1st gear and still spun through and we stayed side by side, then wen i shifted into 2nd i got a little more traction but the tires were still squeeling and pulled a car on him, wen i got into 3rd i was going about 60 and that is wen i started pulling awayand by the time i was in 4th he was way behind me(my clutch slipped in 3rd and 4th gear as well which didnt allow me to floor it the whole time). He wanted to do the same race again and wen we did i missed 2nd gearbecause of my ****ty clutch and by the time i got it in gear he was about 5 car lengths ahead but i kept trying and started catching up fast and if the road would have been a little longer i would have passed him by 4th gear lol.

 

Good race. Replace that clutch asap.
