NBC "Strikes" Back....
NBC has announced that it will start putting a 5 second delay on its broadcast of NASCAR events in reaction to the "s**t" muttered by Dale Jr. following Sunday's Nextel win.
They join ABC's Monday Night Football which also has a 5 second delay in its coverage of the NFL.
I guess it's OK to see or hear "bad stuff" in person, but those of us at home can't handle it.....[:'(][:@][:'(]

That seems to be an everyday word used by everyone that comes into my store and they will say it right in front of me all the time.[sm=nothatway.gif] Thank goodness for "selective hearing"

I make it a point to keep the 4 letter words to a minimum even around female police officers. Male police officers normally have pretty trashy mouths, that's why they seem to talk sloooowwwly and distinctly on shows like "Cops". BTW, "Cops" isn't all that close to reality....those guys KNOW they're going to be on TV and their every move and every word will be analyzed to the max....
Maybe Nascar should go pay per view. Let's see, WWE can have Lesbian stories, devil worshiping, drugs, sticking your face in some fat guys ***. But a guess a little **** goes a long way[:@]
I'm waiting for them to start throwing s**t on the track in protest of Dale Jr's penalty.......

NASCAR should absolutely have a pay-per-view option. I'd gladly pay to not be interupted by 47 commercial breaks during a race.
One thing that gets me about the whole "Jr." thing is the fact that $hit isn't even one of the seven words you can't say on TV. I'm not saying that what he said was OK, but it has never been one of these words.
If NASCAR is So worried about the way the audience is perceiving the sport, maybe they should look at the way some of drivers act (childish) on the track and do something about that.
