Mopar to take center stage with Kasey Kahne at Lowe's Motor Speedway!

CENTER LINE, Mich. - This October, at the UAW-GM 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway, the Mopar logo will adorn a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series entry for the first time in the brand's history.

During the event, the familiar No. 9 Dodge of Kasey Kahne will boast a new hue that features the blue, black, and silver colors representative of Mopar. This momentous occasion in Mopar's history is one that signifies Mopar's dedication to the sport of racing.

Having the Mopar logo showcased in a premier event such as the UAW-GM 500 represents what Mopar's racing endeavors encompass - the longevity and staying power of the sport."

The Mopar "bling-bling" paint scheme that Kahne will carry was designed by Competition Graphics of Farmington Hills, Mich. Featuring the Mopar "M" logo, as well as the barbed wire paint scheme utilized by Team Mopar throughout the 2004 season, Kahne's car will carry on the brand's unique and authentic motorsports influence.

Mopar is also the sponsor of the Mopar Sprint Car Nationals, which is slated to take place at the Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway on October 13. The event will feature the stars of the USAC National Sprint Car Series and the O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series. Racing is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The Mopar Sprint Car Nationals will kick off NASCAR's UAW-GM 500 event weekend, which includes Bojangles' Pole Night for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and the Charlotte ASA inaugural events on October 14. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 300 NASCAR Busch Series event will run on October 15; the UAW-GM 500, featuring the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series stars, will wrap up the weekend on October 16.

A picture of Kahne while he was leading 310 miles of the UAW-GM 500 before blowing out a tire and crashing in the wall! Love this scheme... think Kahne or Mayfield should have this as a regular scheme!

Yah, I love the scheme too... everyone did, the announcers, staff and crew. I was impressed!! That kid has the WORST luck though.
