There is a guy I work with that has a 97 jeep wrangler that he turboed, well yesterday after work we were cruising next to each other and he revved at me and I could hear his turbo blowin air out of the waste gate, it was baaaad! well we both punched it and raced a few times at different speeds, lets just say I had to put it in stage 5 to beat him!

its an actual turbo, nothing else done yet, but he plans on hooking up his intercooler and doing engine mods in the near future, the turbo itself is a baby turbo, he pushes 6psi in it but none the less its still perty fast

 

Yeah, 6psi is about it without an intercooler higher compression of a gas engine. He'll need a new head gasket before long, but until then it'll be a lot of fun.
I bet it will suprise a lot of people out there too.

those 4.0L inline 6's are pretty stout, if he backs off theboost to 4when he puts in the IC he'll have a heck of a ride. . .and save the head as well.

 

As long as you beat him, thats all that counts. But if you had to put it on 5 to beat him, then you may want to upgrade your truck a little more.

 

I need to get a turbo for the 4 banger on my jeep. Or better yet a 350 V8

 

Save that money for a CTD Ben.

 

ya I think the next upgrade is going to be the fass, but other than that I don't know the next step to upgrade.
