smaller tires decrease rotational mass,and the smaller wheel allows for a lower gear ratio. such as my rearend gears are 4:10 with a 26 inch tall tire. each size i got bigger, i lose gear. my RT went from 17 flat to 16.1 with catback, CAI, thermo, and 15s.
i think its gonna be a driver race, which seeing as how the stang is a V8, is awful. ive seen a stage 0 run in the mid 13s, and thats where the cobra should be, stock.
I think you had the answer in your first post Badstrat, "good driver mod" because I've seen plenty of people with fast cars that can't drive them for anything.
LOL, yeah. I should run a 15.9 next weds. long as it don't rain. I'm puttin in race motor mounts so hopefully i can launch it better. I wish I had a 50 shot I could put on it, I could probably low 15s with it.
If you run like you did on your last runs down the 1/4, then with your inserts you should finally break that pesky 15 sec. barrier that has been taunting you.
