RE: Hendrick Motorsports Aircraft Lost?
Nascar.com had this link posted for only minutes but i kept it up it is from the martinsville daily.com:
The FAA confirms everyone on board was killed. The list of passengers is as follows: Ricky Hendrick, John Hendrick, Kimberley Hendrick, Jennifer Hendrick, Dick Tracy, Joe Jackson, Liz Morrison, Jeff Turner, Randy Dorton, and Scott Lathum.
Update 10 - 6:49pm: We have received the following information regarding the relationship of the planes passengers to the Hendrick Racing Team... John Hendrick was team owner Rick Hendrick's brother. Ricky Hendrick was his son. Kimberly Hendrick and Jennifer Hendrick were twin sisters, Dick Tracey and Liz Morrison were the pilots, Jeff Turner was the VP and General Manager of Hendrick Motorsports. Randy Dorton was an engine builder for the company.
I dont like the hendrick teams but in this situation you put aside those things and just feel terrible for that family he lost so much this year

Yeah, those smaller commuter aircraft have a much higher accident rate than your full size commercial jets. I really don't like flying on them because you can tell they don't get the same attention to detail that the big jets do. I flew on Big Sky Airlines on my trip to Montana last spring (from Billings to Great Falls) in a tiny Fairchild twin engine prop job and the pilots ate potato chips and talked about their "love life" while flying thru some of the worst thunderstorms I've ever seen.....[:@]
