sadly, the one thing that GM has going for it, is that the LSX engines are among the best in the history of american engines...

before buying the demon, the laser, and the aries, i had begun looking at 4th gen camaros...i know guys online with next to nothing done, running in the 12s...

with the lift and tires I wonder if they re-geared it. that could have caused the jump in launch

Look at chevy this way, the truck engines are getting design brought down from the LS series. You can not bore out an LS series. Ultimatley GM is building throw away motors. 100k, drop it before it dies. And the new trucks front suspension is crap, even fords' is better. Stick with the Ram. lol
aaahahahahaa...wow, i've only heard biascrap like that from ricers. GM's LSx and LS based engines are some of the best ever made. I've owned a LS1 Z28 and a 5.3 silverado, neither gave me any problems...besides the rear on the Z. You should learn to give credit where credit is due...I have and that's why I bought my first dodge.

To the OP...from what i've read and experienced GM's typically have less loss through the drivetrainthan dodges. I'm not sure why that is...maybe the mopar trannies are a little more heavy duty?

Wow. That is a completely clueless and uneducated remark. Sounds like you overheard someone talking who knew absolute nothing, and then decided to quote them.

Where, oh where, did you get that from???? You do realize than the LS series of V8's is one of the greatest engines in the last ten years, right????
I got my info from a couple things. Master mechanics that work and have worked for GM over the years. Also, when Lingenfelter tryed to modifiy the C6 vettes, he had to turbocharge them because he couldnt bore the blocks out, saying its not designed for that.

I never said the engine line was bad, I was referring to the fact that they dont have the option of rebuild, if you would have read what i said. I know many people that have had them and they work great. What I said that due to its inability to rebuild them, they are in essence a throw away motor. 100k is probably a bit early for that series sure, that is more of the Northstar line. As for who I have listened too, people that are Master Mechanics, that have worked many years for GM, as per its rebuildability. The LS is leaps and bounds ahead of the LT sure. But I think its being rebuildable should be worked in too.
