Why Titan, Why ?
How about a grown up take on things. I am not in here trying to start anything. Just to give a new perspective. I own a Titan. It is a king cab with the off road package. I have only been able to race two hemi's so far. I would venture to say that they were both 4x4's as I live in Alaska and it is stupid to buy a 2wd truck up here. They were both single cab rumble bee's. The first one was from a stand still. I got the jump and left him standing. The second one was from 45 mph and he got the jump. I gained on him, but not fast. Does this mean that I can take every hemi out there? NO. Does this mean that Hemi's can beat every Titan? NO. I believe that the driver, as well as certain packages make all of the difference. I say if you drive a 4x4, a fair race is with another 4x4. If you drive a 2wd, a fair race is with another 2wd.
As for the ugliest truck on the road comment: A lot of people feel the same way about the dodge. A lot of people feel the same way about the Ford. A lot of people feel the same way about the chevy. Get the picture?
As for the srt-10. Great if you have one. And I am sure at least one of you here does. I say race what you bring. Don't talk about it unless you own it. I know for a fact that I will get smoked by one of those. That is why I don't go for it. I do go for Hemis because the races are always close. This makes it fun.
As for the idiot that raced an s4 with a full sized truck. I would say he was a moron even if it was an srt-10. He has stage two turbos which might, or might not be fast enough to beat an srt-10.
The 4x4 engaged only produces a tenth of a second decrease in the quarter mile on the TItan. There are many titan owners on the forums that have shown this. I don't think this gives us any advantage.
Nissan has been making this engine far a long time, but only in Japan.
I respect the Hemi. I prefer the Titan. It, to me, is a much better all around truck.
I am not bashing the hemi. I enjoy the competition. I do think that all of the facts need to be present before an informed aguement can be made. I don't see either side winning this arguement.

First of all... What the hell is up with all these old threads being brought up. Dude, this thread was done 9 months ago! It seems like you are just here to start something up.
A grown up take on things? I'm pretty sure almost everyone who contributed to this thread was grown up.
I don't believe the driver in an automatic has much at all to do with who comes out first. And if you want to race a HEMI like yours, try racing a 2x4 single cab.
Sorry, but the Titan IS the ugliest truck on the road. It's terrible I know Ford, Chevy and even Nissan owners that say the Titan is the ugliest.
Um yeah, the last person to comment before you has an SRT-10, "QuickSilver". Also, check out the SRT-10 section, where there are tons of SRT-10 owners.
You're right neither side wins the arguement, because racing trucks that aren't Lighnings or SRT-10's are pointless.
Finally, stop going around the internet finding threads about Titans to come on here and argue. Especially one that's 9 MONTHS OLD.
Good day...

Can't beat us in the street, so they gotta dream about it here. Thanks for your opinion though.

I should have known that ya'll would miss the point all together. The SRT-10 is in a different class. I would smoke one in my mustang, but never brought that up because we were talking about a titan vs a hemi. Also, I really don't see how comparing a 2wd single cab vs my 4x4 king cab is the same. I know dodge truck owners who think theirs is ugly too. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. I personally think the Titan is the most beautiful truck on the road next to the lightnings and the srt-10's. I think the regular rams are ugly and the Rumble bee is stupid looking. I didn't say any of that because I know that these kind of statements are subjective. You are welcome to your opinion. I am saying that I believe my truck has beaten two hemi rumblee bees. I know it is true. I am not saying I can beat every hemi out there. As for the auto comment: REACTION TIMES MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN AUTOS. IF I get the jump off of the light, and I don't roast the tires (Again where the driver comes into play), I am taking out my competetion.
You are right. I am a glutten for punishment. The mods to the mustang are numerous. It is dynoed at 504 hp at the wheels. This doesn't include the spray. The Titan is stock. I am not on any mustang forums. I appreciate the healthy competition between the TItan and the hemi and also appreciate that ya'll have let me come over and voice an opinion without banning me or flaming me too bad. That says a lot. I just wanted to feel out how people are judging their races vs. titans (Dead stand stills, rolling, who gets the jumps, mod for mod, similar stock packages, etc...). Like I said previously, a fair race would be a 4x4 vs. 4x4. But, I am a firm believer of race what you bring. Anyway, thanks again for the opportunities to express another view point that you may have not considered. Take care and be careful racing!

Stop looking up old threads to start something. Don't say you didn't. This thread is 9 months old.
This is a Dodge site... 2 worst hated vehicles of Dodge owners.... Titan and Mustang..... You are not going to hear what you want to hear.
This has been talked about many times... Anyone else sick of the Ram vs Uglytan topics? I can tell Todd is, lol.
