Next time that happens just slam on the brakes, "didn't you see that dog that ran out in front of me".[sm=smiley3.gif] It will be the troopers fault for unassured safe/clear distance, then you can also go after that PD for their repeated unsafe(as well as illegal) actions.[sm=smiley2.gif] Or at least you can try.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]

Yeah, PDs get sued all the time, for all sorts of stuff. Some of it's legit and some not....

Just like everything else, some are done for the good and some simply clog and corupt the system.

Haha, I always slam on the breaks when people tailgate me. Dustyloins I didn't know you were a police officer. I have a question for you: Is it illegal to rev up to a cop? I was on my way home one night and I was at a red light next to one and we were all by ourselves. I tapped the gas just a little bit, he looked at me and gave me the "what the hell?" look. I was laughing when he looked at me. He just drove on and turned off some time later. I always thought it would be funny to pull up next to a cop and just rev it to the redline.

If he wants to play/race, I highly suggest that you let him win or be able to outrun the radio.[sm=smiley36.gif]

hmm lets see i've got 3 speeding tickets for 80 in a 45, 75 in a 45, and 80 in a 65, and all of them in a 86 plymouth reliant k of all things. none in the trans am, 71 satalite, Z34, or Tib go figure. however i have had 2 tint tickets in the Tib cops dont seem to like the 5% visibilty. oh and 71RR that dayton seems to get faster and faster everytime you tell that story lol at the time i'd say the Z34 and dayton were an even match altough after your mods you definitly had me beat.

Now you know damn good and well that I have NEVER changed any part of it, I just told it like it was and what the officer said.[sm=smiley14.gif] Your the only one that has any idea as to how fast we were going, at least until you saw the cop and slowed down as I kept on truckin'.[sm=smiley3.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]

True, very true, that is all that it took as I was praying that I wouldn't be going to jail.[sm=smiley19.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]From 85 MPH up we were pretty even, but I think I would have had a higher top end due to aerodynamics. The Shelby Z definately had your Z34 beat on the low end, but you would come back in the mid range and I think the aerodynamics would have gave me the top end win, however the closer acceleration oriented gearing in the Shelby Z was helping you out alot in the top end area. The top end would have been a real toss up between your more freeway friendly automatic and my better aerodynamics, too bad that police van had to be there.[sm=smiley13.gif] Well, now you can run your Tiburon against the Shelby Z.[sm=smiley15.gif](HINT:your ONLY chance is at the top end, your dead meat in the 1/4 if he can shift it worth a damn[sm=smiley36.gif])
