Default New Timeslip

R/T: .420 (stoners rejoice - the other guy had exactly .420 as well)
60': 1.733
330': 5.070
1/8: 7.903
MPH: 87.44
1000: 10.307
1/4: 12.333
MPH: 111.14

Ran last night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - 4794' Density Altitude, uncorrected.
There's plenty more left on the plate, will hopefully make it back to the track within the next couple of weeks for another new best.

this was in the truck, right?

12.30s at 111, there is room left in there on your launch, but thats mighty impressive. what tires/rims are you pulling 1.7s on, the ones in the picture, or do you put something like stock rims back on and run some stickies?

Yes this was in the truck.

The truck has a Hotchkis suspension but OEM shocks w/94k miles, they're almost totally blown out - at some point in the future I'll get a set of QA1's for the truck and some Caltracs. I was hopping pretty bad on the launches, hopefully the suspension mods will help it squat into the 1.6's... I use 15x10 Real Pro 6 drag wheels with 28x13.5x15 E/T Streets out back, but up front I still have the heavy 20's - will also look into some poor man's skinnies (ie: 15x6 or 15x7 OEM wheels with tires) or hold out for a matching set of 15x4 Real Pro's.

I'm hoping to be back out at the track next Friday to try for a 11.x pass...

28 seems like a tall tire for you...have you tried running a shorter tire? are you trapping in third gear, or are you using 4th? what gearing?

those are some awesome times though...do you have a picture of the truck with the drag radials on it?

I have 4.56 gears, so 28's are a necessity. I'm already screaming at 5800-6000rpm going through the traps in 3rd with OD off. The next time I buy tires I may even step up to a 29" or 30" drag slick, I'm already using 29" tires on the street (295/40-20's).

I don't have any good side shots of the truck with the drags on. I'm waiting for the LVMS track photographer to post his pictures (he said maybe sometime this weekend) to see if there's anything worthy of purchasing. Here's a few photos from when I was in Phoenix:

Im not as familiar with the gearing in your transmission, but your lower gears must be pretty steep..im also running 4.56s in the mirada with a 727, running 26s and trapping around 6500-6600.

Is your OD low enough where it wouldnt benefit you to pull more gear with smaller tires and run through in 4th? i know that with amandas ram, it cutlike 2-3 tenthslocking it out of OD.

Where does it shift? I thought that the built magnum engines would make a little more power on the top?

The 46RE is basically a A518 or 727 with an electronic overdrive.

If her truck has the 5.9L V8, I have the same transmission. In general, running this much power through OD isn't recommended. Some people have to do it, but I've heard of others inheriting transmission issues down the road.

The normal shift points of a 360/46RE is 4800rpm, B&G Chrysler re-flashes to 5400, my PCM's set to shift around 6000. I will need to get a fresh dyno to see where my cam profile is dropping off plus I will need to find out what springs are in these heads before I'd try revving any higher. I wish I still had my Edelbrock heads - they were PnP'd by Shady Dell and had upgraded springs plus Jesel rockers, I could shoot for the moon with those things. Maybe someday I'll have another set prepared.

we have the OBD I mopar PCM, but its been so long since ive driven it, i dont recall where it shifts...i hadnt thought about your amount of power tearing the transmission up..i thought that it was because it pulled better through the traps.

what happened to your other heads?

I had them built for my 03 Black CC R/T, but before they were installed I decided to sell both of my 03 R/T's and buy the Charger SRT-8. A guy by the name of "Janesy" bought them from me for his Gen II project a couple of years ago, I'm not sure if he has gotten around to installing them.

This truck came with Mopar Performance 2.02 R/T heads that were ported by KRC Performance and have Mopar 1.6 rockers but I don't know the flow #'s or spring specs.

Bump - went back out to the track Friday Night.

Two new bests...
Best 60' (1st pass) : 1.669 (ran 12.169 @ 110.20)
Best E/T (2nd pass) : 12.093 @ 110.21

I will see what I can do about getting that 11.x timeslip next time out, but it's going to get harder as the temps/DA skyrocket - was already 104 this weekend.
