If I remember correctly, doesn't the Hemi Rams have a form of traction control that you cannot just turn off? If so, that can make all the difference in the world during a race since it will cut back power to maintain traction.

 

Well, the new '05 Ram's might have it as an option. My '03 sure doesn't, with an automatic i've burnt "it"(doesn't have a LSD so its just a one tire fire..LOL) into 3rd gear. My mom just got an '05, and that doesn't have traction either. It still might be an option, but I haven't heard of it. Back to original post, AWESOME kill man!! Keep 'em coming!!

 

last night my roomate tried to race me in his stock 2wd 350TBI 1/2 chebbie short bed manual. I let a guy turn and I was going about 25 when my roomate was in 3rd gear was starting to pass me and i didn't get on it until he was half-way past me and by the time I shifted down i was at the rear of his bed but I caught up and blew by him before i shut it down at 90. This is all with the stock PCM. I can't wait to put some 93 octane in and throw in the Mopar PCM. I wanna hit 14.5s but the end of the summer.

 

i know its only 295...but its a high performance engine....i was very impressed...neone race a titan yet?

 

I haven't. Every time I see a Titan I want to run them but never had an opertunity. If I did then They wouldn't stand a chance against my Jeep.

 

the 4.8 does not ahve 295HP the 5.3 i think it is has 295 iv looked on the chevy trucks at the dealer im not sure what the 4.8 has but im sure its not 295 since the 5.3 or what ever it is its a 5.sumthing has 295 so i wouldnt think the 4.8 would have the same as a 5.3

 

4.8 is a turd but the 5.3 is awesome. stock std cab short bed runs a 15.3 in 4wd on the strip. watched a guy run 14.0 with a cold air kit and maybe a chip or something run 14 flat at a 100.

 

I'd have to see that 5.3L 4x run a 15.3 stock. I'm not sure my Hemi Ram would run that in the quarter. Those 5.3L are way down on power compared to the Hemi.

 

Back to the subject... FREAKIN' SWEET!!!! I've always hated Chevy!!! Here's to all of your future landslide wins againt the piles of crap on wheels that are what makes up the brand of Chevy.

Hi guys i'm from Australia i thought you would like to know that our ausie Valiant charger made by Chrysler was a very Quick car for the time. IN 1972 the r/t E49 charger which was only a six cylinder was our quickest muscle car for more than 2 decades.0-60
in 6 seconds 1/4 mile in under 14.4 sec ( quicker times have been acheived on modern rubber as that time was taken in 1972.)
The motor was a 265 ci straight hemi 6 with tripple webbers. it produced 302 hp, not bad for a 1972 6 cylinder motor. it would blow away any GM holden car with a 350 Chev or ford 351 that we had in Australia.
