Default 72 Demon 340 -vs- New G8 GT

I came up behind some kid in a red G8 GT the other night, and as we came to a stop i cleaned it out a bit, obviously getting the attention of this kid driving his dad's G8. I think that he may have revved back, but I couldnt really hear it over the idle of the demon.

The next time that we came to a stop, I was alongside him, and he rolled his windows up, before I got next to him. I inched forward, and he didnt seem to pay any mind, and when we got the green, he didnt come out hard, so neither did i..but as soon as we were both moving he gave it a little kick, and i returned and he jumped on it, and i stayed right with him through first gear, then we had to slow down again...but at the next line i was ready to rock when the green light dropped, and i got a little jump out on him, even with some tire spin on my part, and i stayed about a half car ahead of him until around 90, when i let off, as he had let off...it was a very even race, which i expected as i think that they run similar times to the demon...

He came by, rolled the window down and smiled and waved, then turned off...

this all happened on a closed circuit, of course.

i dont know..my tires spun, and his may have as well, but the demon is very loud...im not sure if those cars are traction limited or not, but ive seen times from 13.50-14.00 from them.

the demon is the older brother of the mirada, and the mirada doesnt let lightly modded cars pick on the demon...

what do you think that firebird would do? get into the high 12s with traction?

also, the demon engine only has about 700 miles on it, and it had around 300 when it ran 13.50s...its still breaking in, and it feels a bit stronger than when it first hit the street...ill get it back to the track at some point.

if i was to put money on it, i would lean towards it getting into the 12s. unless you were sandbagging to help someone hustle me for betting on it...

how about you spot me a half a tenth for every year in the difference in model years?

I drive the demon more than I drive any other car right now...and with the exception of amanda driving the aries to the stable, the demon sees more mileage right now than other other vehicle..
