Default Drag Times...

I am the owner of a 03' 4.7 Ram 1500. I just recently added Magnaflow performance dual exhaust, K&N FIPK GEN 2 Perfomance Intake, and an AirRaid Throttle Body w/ spacer. A week ago was my first trip to the track with this beast. My first run in the quarter was 16.5 @ 80mph. Not the greatest, but engine was hot from driving 1 hour to get to track. Second run after letting engine cool was 15.9 @ 84mph. And finally third run, 16.0 @ 84mph.
After watching my friend run his 03' Lightning (12.80 @ 103mph), I decided I definatley need more power. Of course when i ask my friend what i should do next, he tells me to buy a Ford. Sickening just thinking of it.
Other than the obvious of buying a new, bigger engine dodge like the 5.9 and SRT, I would like to see how fast I can get this truck to move with this 4.7 liter. I am looking at the power programmers(SUPERCHIP) and wondering if they are worth it being that they are 400 bucks.
Im also looking at the JET chip, stage 2. Any suggestions on what my next move for better 1/4 mile times would be greatly appreciated.

I've not many good things about any Jet product for dodges. The superchips would probably yeild some gains. There are a couple places out there that offer cams for the 4.7L.

If you have the money, i'd look into supercharging it! Just think how cool that'd be! I haven't actually looked at them for the 4.7, but I know there are some kits for them. Maybe do a search and get some info on it. That'd probably be your best bet if your wanting anywhere close to a crappy lightning. Might be fairly spendy, but it would MOVE! Other than than, maybe cams, chip, possibly upping the discplacement?

After searching I found a couple of superchargers for the 4.7. I know little of the brand which makes me kinda weary, but Ill keep looking. I have heard the same about JET chips too. They are crap, but the Superchips programmer sounds nice. You guys oughta check out these sites for dodge performance parts:

kennebell is the way to go for S/C, or a Vortech system if there is one for the 4.7.
