Good job! I'm with 'ya on giving that ricer just what he deserves regardless what it is or what your driving.[sm=gears.gif] It's kind of like it's your duty to do it, especially if he has the ricer stupidity to rev on something that's obviously way out of his league. If you don't, then you at least have to look him in the eyes and laugh yourself to tears.[sm=laughat.gif]

Personally, if a guy in a half-wrecked Pinto with a watch-motor for an engine made an attempt at a challenging rev, and I was in a Ferrari Enzo, I would take it seriously and stomp all over his wimpy-*** dorkmobile.

If you are ever near southeast Michigan, let me know and I will teach you about American V-8's. Truck or car, you have your choice. You are right about buying the Crossfire for styling and not performance. It has one and not enough of the other for the price. There are American cars that will outrun it by a lot for less money new, not some used Viper.

are you going to "teach us about american V8s" with your ugly ford trucks? i would happily put a used viper against either of your Used ford trucks....and i have a american car, with an american engine that will beat just about anything coming off of a show room in this country right now...but even running in the mid to low 12s, i will take on any one that will rev on me, cavalier or not...

nice kill crossfirekid...

Yep, the Crossfire was another Dumler lie and disappointment. They swore and promised that it would come out with the full 275 horsepower that the concept had (LIE), then it finally makes it into production (SHOCK), and here it is neutered down to 215 horsepower (DISAPPOINTMENT).[:'(][:'(][:'(]

Granted, the Crossfire could use more power. You can never have enough power. Yet, I test drove an SRT-6 and it was quite impressive. I could have a lot of fun in one on a daily basis - once I fit my big butt in the seat. The main problem was that they wanted almost the same price for the Crossfire SRT-6 that I paid for my Ram SRT-10.

As far as American cars that will outrun a Crossfire, by a lot, for less money, I can only assume that Danka was talking about acceleration. But, looking only at 0 to 60 times is pretty one dimensional when evaluating any car. A good all around driver must do more than just go fast in a staight line. A great car must have styling, handling, comfort, power, etc. For example, I seriously doubt that you're going to come up with too many new American cars that will take a Crossfire on an autocross track for the same money or less. A few exceptions might be an SRT-4 with a few suspension mods, a Mustang GT or GTO with a lot of suspension mods, and then there's...wait that's about all I can think of. Maybe someone else can come up with a few more. V series Cadillacs, C6 Corvettes and SRT-8s all cost more.

Regardless, enjoy you're Crossfire. It's a worthy car in my book.

I wasn't thrilled with the crossfire when it first came out, but now it has grown on me. Same with the firepower concept. That will probably do the same thing, and I hope DCX puts more horses in that then the crossfire... Excellent kill, lmao at the wal-mart spinners [sm=smiley36.gif]

Don't bet on it though, remember that Dumler is the one pulling the strings at Chrysler as well as Dodge and Jeep.[:@][:@][:@][:'(][:'(][:'(]

I wish that the crossfire came with more power too, but it looks like dc won't be changing that problem, cause rumor is that the 05 is it, and that they won't make an 06. If thats true, based on the number of 04 and 05's sold, and the unique styling, do you think this will be a limited edition car in the long run?

If it is only built for 2 years, then that will make it a limited production vehicle.
