Default 2006 Hemi QC versus 2009 F150 Platinum

I was out getting some things done today when I came up on a black F150 platinum. Nice looking truck, lots of chrome...with a little rumble under it.

I know that picking on an f150 (non-lightning) in anything but the stratus is like a dog mauling on a kitten, but as i got through the light traffic we ended up side by side at a light and he was making some noise.

i came out only a little above idle and still spun the tires, and for a second or so we were side by side but it didnt take long for me to get out and once i got moving i really walked away from him. i got out to a few lengths and let off and when he caught up, he bounced next to me for a second, and hit it, and i also jumped back into it, and although it took me a second to get back to him once i caught up i went around him like he was parked.

ford did a nice job with the new f150...too bad they didnt give them any power...they really need the new coyote.

They need to bring back the Lightning. I'm not a huge Ford fan, but that truck comes stock with some *****. They are an amazing platform to build a pretty wicked street truck as well. Hate to say it, but for purely performance reasons, I would rather have an L then an SRT10. However, N/A 5.4 liter Tritons are weak sauce.

SVT went to the offroad sector with the raptor rather than the lightning and the raptor is a pretty sweet truck too.

Yeah I was looking at that, it's pretty cool if off roading is your thing. If I still lived in Vegas I would consider getting one for mobbing out in the desert. 50K price tag is a little much I think though.
