The 509 would require a combo of super high stall and real low gears. That thing is for a medium weight car like a duster or something with a 2500 stall and gears with a min. 10:1 CR. That's why I didn't use it in the Coronet. The heads probably would help the RC, especially if they have been cut.
Why can't you get you gears for that differential?

because its one of those oddball mopar dana knockoffs...ive been told by bimmerbob and a few others that no one makes any gears for it...i really do like the truck, but its So beatup....
