Default Demon Versus 2010 Mustang GT, GT500

So, i was out riding around in the Demon today, when I approached an intersection and saw a red 2010 GT turning right onto a 4-lane road. I got over behind him and followed him out onto the open road, and there wasnt a car in front or behind us in any of the 5 lanes (with the turning lane) for probably a mile. He slowed a bit right away, and I got next to him, around 30mph, riding in second gear. i goosed it a bit and he returned the favor, and then he jumped on it...and i followed suit, quickly pulling about a half car on him. we stayed like that through my second gear, and when i went to third, i again pulled out a slight bit more...with my back bumper probably not clearing his front bumper. we ran it out until 100 or so, when he suddenly seemed to get on the brakes and pull in behind me.

i pulled off about a half mile ahead and he went by and gave me a wave. he was an older guy, and im guessing that it was an automatic...judging by how smooth his downshifts looked...i would have liked to go from a dig, but we came up on traffic that wasnt going to let up for a few miles, and i was headed in the opposite direction of where i needed to be.

After putting up a good showing against that 2010 GT earlier, I was headed home from a car show, when a black/red GT500 came up behind me. Before everyone asks, no, I dont think that my 13 second car will beat a GT500...but it was an older guy, and I was gonig on the idea of 'any given sunday'. I got out into open air and we came to a stoplight...and it sounded pretty good, and I was guessing that it wasnt stock...at least had exhaust and as he rolled up, I saw that he had DRs as well. At that point, I figured that I wasnt going to beat this guy, but Id try anyway...maybe its his kids car or something? well, the old guy sure drove it like it was his own, and he jumped out hard on me, and my DD street tires didnt stand a chance, nor did my gross lack of power...i would have liked to see how close i could have stayed had i been running my DRs, but it was the first time ive gone against one of them...

My twin brother has a 2009 GT500 and thinks it is slower than his ATI procharger equipped with JBA headers and exhaust 2005 Mustang. I think it is the roots-style induction that makes it seem slower. Either way it is fast,
