I'd beat you, Truckin.

You obviously can't punch the gas. Try hitting the gas and going to a certain RPM. Probably a low RPM for your truck and ride that RPM til it catches... Then don't just punch it when you catch. Press down, but not lightning quick.

I hold my brake down with my left foot and try to launch for a specific RPM.

Feather that gas pedal, play with it!

Ease into it. I dunno. LOL

truckin, what kind of power are you making, and it that on stock tires? based on that, you have got to get some DRs!

if im not mistaken, truckin has a bunch of engine work...im afraid that wider street tires are only going to be wider tires to create more smoke...its 2wd, right?

I don't know that I've ever seen a nice, complete list of mods for his truck...

I guess we can keep talking like he isn't here though...

This is from his other thread in 3rd gen

Sorry haven't been over here in a while.

Mods:
- 5.7L HEMI
- AFE Hemi High Breather CAI w/ Modified MIT Tube
- Fastman 85mm TB
- Pacesetter LT Headers w/ Cats
- Pacesetter 3" ORY
- Borla XR-1 Race Muffler Dumped
- UpGraded 26 row Trans Cooler
- APS TQ Converter w/ 2700 Stall
- 4.56's
- Diablo Sport Predator Tuner, 91 tune (Modified)
- AeroForce Wideband
- Yokohama Parada Spec-X 305/50/r20

I want to do a cam soon but without being able to hook (which the wider NEW tires helped quite a bit on the street) I dont really want to add much more to it til I get the caltracs on.

Here are the times for both the runs I did, the first one is the one from the vid, the second one was after.

Run #1 (spun damn near sideways for the first 100ft or so)

Reaction Time: 1.1769
60ft: 2.9730
330ft: 8.8799
1/8 E/T: 12.8100
1/8 MPH: 66.70
1000 ET: 15.8345
1000 MPH: 78.71
1/4 ET: 18.5042
1/4 MPH: 88.05

Run #2 (Eased off the line before laying into it, still spun but not as bad as the first run)

Reaction Time: 1.3825
60ft: 2.5302
330ft: 6.5978
1/8 E/T: 9.9224
1/8 MPH: 73.57
1000 ET: 12.7535
1000 MPH: 83.10
1/4 ET: 15.3101
1/4 MPH: 90.91

Oh last time it was on a dyno it had a superchip flashpaq, the AFE CAI, a different catback exhaust, cutout and 4.56's and it was putting out 276rwhp and 301rwtq. Since then I have added the Long tube headers, 3" ORY, Borla XR1 muffler, DSP, Fastman Ported TB, and an APS TQ Converter.

Not really, that white 07' quad cab was basically stock (I believe he had a magnaflow muffler, superchips and a drop in k&n filter on street tires) and his best was 15.2 in the 1/4 (dont know the trap speed). I mean yes it was better than 18.5 second second first run but for the weight difference and power difference between us he should not have been a tenth of a second faster...

ive seen a bone stock 06 hemi qc at norwalk run 15.60s all day...so 15.2 is about right for a lightly modded qc.

truckin, for what its worth, your trap speeds are very similar to amandas RC. the slip i dug out is a 14.90 @ 90mph...that was with a 2.13 short time.

are you at a very high elevation when youre racing? i think that you should be pulling a better trap speed than that. why arent you using the 93 tune?

as your traction improves i think that youll pick up quite a bit. you should at LEAST be able to pull similar short times to our RC (stock stall, 3.91s, 4500lb track weight, hoosiers) so if you cut from the 2.53 to the 2.13...thats 4 tenths. 4 tenths on the bottom end is 6 tenths on the top end (give or take), so that alone brings you to the 14.70 range...
