so we are driving back from somewhere yesterday....and we are on a 5 lane road, the middle lane being a turning lane...i am the third car in the right lane, and the second car in the left lane is a red 2002ish camaro...with 4 exhaust tips, lingenfelter style, and SS wheels...so i turned the radio down and opened my window to listen to see if i could tell if it was a debadged SS or Z, or just a V6...well, he eases out from the light and it sure enough its a sixer....so i get behind him, and he jumps on it, pulling a bit, but once i got moving, i was right with him...getting up to about 70 or so, with a few cars riding in the right lane...as we clear the last vehicle in the right lane i swerve over and as i shifted into 3rd pulled ahead of him, and started to walk, at which point he got off of it...a bit up the road i saw him speeding up so i pulled back into the left lane and he swerved into the turned lane, and waived as he turned, so i gave him a thumbs up...and down shifted into 1st and got on it so he could get one more good parting shot as to how my exhaust sounds from behind...

 

Spanking them is about all they are good for.

I love it when I hear people that have V6 Camaros and Mustangs, as well as other V6 cars, talk about how quick/fast they are and how they just blow on by this and that with no problem. They'll say how they were going 130 MPH on the freeway and it's just humming right on along like it's nothing and they have alot of pedal left. These are generally the ones you cannot talk to, it's just a bad **** and they think it can beat just about anything you have, especially if it's "just a Neon".

 

i think its bad enough that they MAKE six cylinder camaros and crustangs...they shouldnt make a cheapo option of a 'performance' car...

 

I guess they do it to broaden sales to those that want the look but not the higher price and lower gas mileage of the good versions. That's why the good versions have the addition to their name like GT, Z28, RS, SS, Saleen, Cobra, Trans Am, etc. Why would Dodge be so stupid as to making a Charger R/T with 4 doors and only an automatic, now that to me is far worse and unforgiveable.[:@]

Anyone who buys a V6 mustang or Camaro needs to be beat anyways.
