Badstrat, I want to run 87 octane,
Mopartodd, yes I was in the RR, as far as the 360, it's .030, total seal rings, its been square decked and line honed. I'm going to run a small cam with a tight centerline to build some cylinder pressure with the low compression.
So far I have a performer RPM manifold, I'm thimking a 224/224@.050, 108 LSA cam and
and some ported J heads. I'll try a 2800 Stall converter and 3.91 gears and see what happens.
I don't like the A-body hoods for carb clearance though, so I'll probably get a scoop of some kind.

Wouldn't be interested in some slightly polished J-heads with 2.02/1.63" valves that are backcut and have hardened tips. They have not been ported, but have been cut to yeild a 68 cc chamber volume.

Sorry.

They were going to be a down payment on a new set of heads.
