THE FASTEST
Unfortunately, we have etesting up here[sm=smiley21.gif]. Had to replace my gutted hi flow last spring so it would pass. Slowed the truck down by .2 when it was na. Probably cost even more with the blower on it now.
I am not at all surprised the Vette lost that much. Hi flow cat over stock intially gave .3 off ets, when it self gutted itself 2yrs later I got another .18. Takes serious hp to knock .5 off ets with a 4000lb vehicle (na @ time).
So what kind of #s does a blown C5 run?

that is the truck. i dont recall where you live RM, but if that guy lives in MI, which i believe that he does, nothing makes a vehicle "not legal here"...
ive seen blown, open header cars on the street here.

Not that I'm aware of. I've heard of ones with far less noise getting tickets for it. It is very possible that it is more based on where in Ohio you are and I'm in Columbus, so I know it would be a nice big ticket. I was at one car show with my SRT-4 and there was a cop overseeing things and I asked him about the legalities of my car since they come from the factory without a muffler and he had never heard about them. It does have a resonator and it does count as a muffler to them, so that works. I don't know how loud your Mirada is, but I know my Roadrunner on straight headers could be easily heard for quite some distance, it is really loud yet not quite as loud as my Dad's Cuda with the 630+ horsepower 426 Hemi was on just headers.
