2 Indy vs 2 Lightnings
Buddy I met threw my site n I go to the track together on the odd occassion. Our last time out we noticed a couple of Lightnings doing passes. It was this time last year and the conditions for me sort of sucked. Buddys Indy is much heavier than mine(his bagged/4 link)) n he doesnt have the traction problems I have in the colder weather. Well towards the end of the afternoon we managed to meet up with the L owners n shoot the u know what. After talking a bit we mention all doing a pass together. They agree as one of their dads is a Mopar nut. We mention a buddy will video tape it n we will send them a copy. While in the lanes a few others try to get between us to line up with them but we hold our ground. Im lined up with a Red 02 L, him in the spectators lane me in the tower. Directly behind us is my buddy in his Indy (100shot of nos) in the opposite lane from me with a black L in my lane. The track announcer pics up on it right away saying here we go Ford vs Dodge back to back. I do an extra long burnout trying to put some heat into the MTs so maybe I can get it too bite off the line. With it so cold, I couldnt load the convertor past 1600 or it would just spin (usually launch at 2300+rpms ). Off the line I didnt spin too bad n got 2nd to hold as well, leaving the L sitting at the tree. I got about 5 lengths on him at the tree. Hit the 1/8 n he hasnt gained a foot on me. Approaching the crosshatch at the front of the traps I expected him to come sailing past but he never did. By the finish he was still over 4 lenghts behind me
He managed to run a slightly faster et but too little too late. 1 for Dodge.
Next up my buddy does a good burnout to heat his dragradials. He leaves the line hard spraying the nos as soon as he hits second. He treed the L's eyes out the same as me but he ended up running away from his L. By the traps buddy had him by almost 3 tenths in ets and was over 8 lengths ahead of him. Wooo Hooo, back to back 2 L's go down to 2 Dodges. Buddies a clear victory n mine not too bad cause my truck was n/a and had no motor work.

I have to ask... what does the RM and HP stand for? I always thought the RM was just supposed to be Ram... but... is the HP Horse Power? Now you've got me thinking...My plate is RAMRULZ.
