<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"> lol no not really, just trying to show you that while Imports are underestimated and criticized there are some out there that can run with the big dogs and you may never know until you race them and lose and yet it hurts even more when you remember that you have 6 more cylinders <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">. <edited><editID>Shogunn</editID><editDate>37906.4220138889</editDate></edited>

Hahaha... that is true... LOL! And honestly, that car didn't look 'all that'. LOL! I was shocked, and when they REALLY got going, the wind and the engines, it was great! LOL!

haha Thats the look he was going for, its a pretty nice sleeper. Did you notice his exhaust how its completely stock, well with stock piping he would have too much backpressure to spool up his turbo so he rigged an Autologic "stealth kit" and when hes driving around he just rides on the stock exhaust and he turns down his boost to get good gas mileage and such and when hes getting ready to race all he does is press a button and his boost goes back up and a his exhaust is disconnected from his header so all his exhaust runs straight out the header. Its real cool.

HA Ha Ricecop.com is a funny site!!1

I love it!!!

Shogunn, I agree with you here!!!

I love imports there is so much you can do with them and reaaly get them going.....ricers are the black eye of the import world though!! They are the 16 year olds that get a civic for x-mas cause it was a cheap car their parents got them and the only thing they can afford to put on them are fart cans that make them sound like a moped, and stickers!!!

LOL, ok ok ok, polically incorrect on ricer I guess (<IMG src=smileys/smiley12.gif border="0"> post for me). Im old school sorry, for me Ricer as a definition has really changed because of the"import" scene. How long has the import scene been around???Only about12-13 years(?) where in the motorcycle end of things the "RICERS" started to dominate different races in mass back in the mid 70's. Ricerockets were able to annihilate the domestic bikes with handling n power to weight ratios. Only bikes Ive owned were ricers, Kawi n Suzi. Still have my oldest n fav in the basement 79Suzuki GS1000E(cstm pntd Indy Blue), heavily modified 1135wiesco, bnb, pnp heads 31fs/sb Kliehns w/vstacks weld n balanced clutch basket, gears, modified suspension stretch alum swingarm about 15% wt reduction and if jetted right could probably see a 9sec 1/4.</P>

Hahaha, Illtry to call it "ricer" for the goofy wings n "import" for the guys that do it right lol. Hell technically the Indy is a little ricey looking with all the decals. lmao</P>

RM Indy... I'm SHOCKED at you... even saying the Indy Ram's a little ricey! You should have your mouth washed out with soap! (Since we are on the computer... I suppose you should go wash your hands! LMAO!!) {I'm joking! Kind of...<IMG onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley2.gif'" alt=Wink src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">}</P>

But yes, I have learned my lesson as well... LOL! It's always good to learn something new. </P>

I have friends that are tuners and i know some people that are ricers and there is a big difference. I just can't see spending that kind of cash on a sport compact/import to go fast in a straight line. If your going for straight line acceleration you can't beat good ol' American muscle. If you want to go fast through the twisties you can't beat an import/sport compact. It takes 3-5 times as much money to get a sport compact/import to go as fast as a muscle car in a straight line. As well it would take 3-5 times as much money to get a muscle car to go as fast on a road course as an import/sport compact. If you want the best of both worlds I hope you have Bill Gates wallet.

Exactly, alot of Domestic drivers have trouble understanding this concept (not that Import drivers dont do it too) however when your talking road and track courses its not really about power, a stock 89 Civic hatchback can go out and stomp LS1's all day on an Auto X track whereas in the 1320 its gonna be the Domestics winning mostly (unless you shell out serious cash) because its all about traction and power. As you all know most Imports dont have low end torque lol matter of fact they have next to no torque until VTEC (in Hondas that is, VVT in Nissan) hits and even then its nothing a stock LS1 cant handle and then theres the traction issue, Imports being front wheel drive (most, of course you have rear wheel and then AWD but thats a whole nother story) when they launch most of the weight transfers to the rear wheels and in a big power Import all its gonna do is spin its *** off. So people need to understand either side has its advantages and disadvantages.
