The Chase field is set

Matt Kenseth and Ryan Newman are in the Chase for the Nextel Cup -- and Jamie McMurray and Jeff Gordon are out. While Kurt Busch was pulling away for the victory in Saturday night's Chevy Rock & Roll 400, the drama was unfolding farther back in the field.

I'm just ecstatic that Gordon didn't get in the chase. WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! I take back every bad thing I've ever said about Johnny Sauter.

I'm so happy for Ryan. I was nervous all night, until McMurray's wreck. I knew then, Gordon didn't have a chance. It put a smile on my face. I hate to say that about another Dodge driver, but McMurray's wreck secured Newman's spot.

WHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I was laughing when they interviewed McMurray. He just looked like he didn't even care. Ganassi should just let him go. He obviously doesn't want to be there anymore.

I personally am disappointed that Gordon didnt get in.....but this happens to the best of them and he's been blessed with good luck so its his turn to face the music I guess.

I'm also very disappointed for Jamie McMurray...that two years in a row he has literally been screwed on the last race before the Chase. He'll be gone from Ganassi year end guaranteed.

As for the rest of the guys, congrats and good luck to them. As much as I hate to say it......Tony Stewart is going to be the guy to watch down the last 10 races....

Yeah, I would have thought he would have peed-off. He's definetly one calm dude about the situation.

More like McMurray was laughing about it. Guys like that don't deserve it anyway. He was thinking to himself. Well, I'm leaving this team anyway, I'll laugh about it on national TV. Newman deserved it a lot more. And Jamie did not get screwed. He screwed himself. He wrecked, his fault. It's not like he would have caught Ryan anyway.

The Dodge drivers that can win are in...
Rusty Wallace
Jeremy Mayfield
Ryan Newman
