lightning strikes hard
I have a 94 mustang GT. I've done a few mods to it and made myself a pretty fast car. Well thats what I thought. One day I was driving with a friend with nothing going on but the rent. I came to a stop sign looked over and there was a Ford 150 lightning. The guy had his wfe in the truck so I did not think too much of it. Then he looked at me, with that look of "bring it". Oh it was on. I launched at about 2000 rpm as not to smoke the tires. My car kicked sideways as I look over and see him pulling on me a little. I thought not today, so I backed off the gas just a little to let my goodyear eagle GSC hook up. Then I shifted hard into second barking the tires pretty loudly. I knew I had to get him in 2nd or it was over. I was running my car to 5800 rpms. I pulled up a little ahead of him. When I say little I mean I was looking at his front tire. I shifted to 3rd and the less weight of my car started to pay off. I started to pull more and more. We went passed a green light doing 75mph in a 35 zone. We ended the race a little pass 80. That was a good race, but not the right thing to do.
if it was the NA lightning, you shouldnt have any problem with it..and if it was mildly built, you should still be able to handle him.
Yeah I was able to deal with him once I hooked up, but he was still fast. I'm sure it was not stock. Made things interesting.

I love my GT. I think the coolest thing about it is I can do 99% of the work myself. It can do alright on the track, and drag strip. It's a pretty good all around car, and it has the manners to take a young lady out on a date in and not be too much. I have enjoyed it and the after market world is crazy. You can do anything your heart desires to it. Not a bad pick at all.
