I assume you also has a WRX? Then yes, you should be able to keep up. Boost vs. Boost

Sorry I gotta call you on this, now I am not stirring up trouble, and I am not a Ford fan even though I own a lightning, I like the dodge trucks better. But I was running consistant 13.3's in my Lightning bone stock with paper filter. No Dakota in the world with just exhaust is gonna run that.

you forget the huge heavy *** rims, and since ive raced him, ive talked to other people around town who know the guy and they told me his truck ran like ****. So for all i know it is possible, because we were side by side the whole time

also, what altitude are you at, because here at 3600 ft above sea level, no lightning here has even see 13's

also, we didnt race a quarter mile, not even an 8th mile, we raced til about 45-55...thats it

true, but if the performance of the lightning is hindered by the altitude, the same thing would happen to your dakota...i dont like lightnings, and i would be impressed to see one run 13.3 stock, as i have seen plenty run higher 13s and low 14s...but regardless, the dakota would be hard pressed to run anywhere near a low 14.

It dosen't matter. 17's or 22's that truck is faster than yours. A race to 40-50 sure...you could probably stick by his side...but after that he'd be gone.
