with work, the Hemi's are capable of taking down a new GT, but even in automatic form, the GT is still a low 14 second car...however, you can get the "v6 sport package" (i think thats what its called) and it comes with all the trim, shy of the badges, of a GT.

Only Cobra owners own the road. They have the right...They OWN!

Yawn, I don't think so.
I suppose you never raced a Terminator? My buddy has a '04 Cobra with a stage 4 port and polish and a 15lb. pulley and all the bolt-on's...we'll just say it's quick...

You said "only Cobra owners own the road,... they OWN". I haven't been beaten yet by a Cobra, and I don't think I've raced a Terminator. But I did race a Cobra with a pulley and exhaust.
So, basically, what you are saying is that modded "Terminator" Cobras own the road, again, I say, there is always something quicker.
I'm sure if I changed my compression to 8:1 and threw a procharger on, I could make an easy 800+ horsepower engine, or with just a 200hp nitrous shot I'm in the 9's.
I took the liberty of looking at a Terminator on a web page and the dude ran an 11.95 @ 124.
His MPH is very good but as you can see from my sig that with old junky parts that nobody wanted and naturally aspirated I would take him down.
On the other hand, if he got better traction, he should run around a 10.7.

terminator is the slang term for the 03-04 blown cobras....they CAN be very fast, but in stock form, with an average driver (which many of them are) its only a high 12/low 13 vehicle...

i have run a few of them, and beat them pretty handily, but they were stock...there are a few at my home track, driving in, running low 11s...and if they have the KB swap, they are well capable of 9s.

OK, I understand now, the one I raced was an 04, and I basically passed him like he was in reverse. He later took it to the track and ran a 13.24 @ 109. I think if I drove his car it would run a 12.50-12.30.
They have potential, but I haven't seen any really quick ones except in the mags. The PSCA cars are older and do better, there are alot of Mustangs in the PSCA.
Either way, these guys that make all these claims about Cobras owning the road must not have many fast street cars in their town.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice car, but owning the road? Yeah, right, not in this town.

the vast majority of the fast terminators ditch the IRC for a solid axle...and even the faster slightly modded terminators whixch i have seen run much better MPH than they do ETs...they just cant launch them well...they are very traction limited...hell, even the magazines only got very high 12s out of them...like 12.90s...[:'(]

Yes, that's basically what I have experienced. On the street, they intimidate alot of people, but any decent musclecar will keep up, and any very good musclecar will take their lunch money.
Especially on the street where traction is so critical.

Cobra? Terminator?... Just another victim. I'm out, Later Strat.
