last night..at prp, a guy ran a 12.44 with a SRT10 viper. i dont know how much a regular driver youd want to call him though. i spoke to him before the lanes opened, and he told me that he wasnt sure what it would run, but his "other 2 ran high 11s".
High 11's is right about where the Viper SRT-10 should be. I can't wait to see how the coupes will do with their stiffer and more rigid frame/body. Not to mention another power increase.
from the sound and look of his launches, he was rolling out through 3rd gear. his 60' times were just awful; like 1.90s to 2.00s, and he had HUGE mph's. i thought it was cool just seeing one out there. when we left, he pulled it onto the dyno, but it was getting rainy, and i ws tired.
i left due to the rain...if said dyno had bene free..i would have stayed if it rained locust. it was 70 for 3 rips, and we wanted to run on it, but it would have meant losing run time. at the norwalk classic event last year, the same guys were there that were at PRP this week, but they were charging ALOT more.
while id like to have a dyno sheet, i wouldnt miss a run for it...but soon, we shall be dyno'ed.
the only car that i saw make a dyno run was a 99 bmw 3 series, which put out 118 at the wheels, and ran high 16s.
