beat him pretty bad suprisingly 
i have a 5 speed manual with a hypertech programmer.. k&n replacement filter and a low temp stat.. 1st and 2nd we were pretty much side by side.. (had time to read the side of his truck.. said 2500 v10) but tackin out 2nd into 3rd i steady pulled from him till around 70 then he letted up

Yeah nice kill, I suppose, but I bet that v10 was bone stock =) and more than likely auto =/
Let some of the other members on here get out their v-10's and try them, their pretty tough stuff hehe.

yeah.. it wouldnt take much to get some serious power out of those trucks.. but it just seems like to me their made for pulling power.. not speed.. i raced 3 f-150's in about 4 days also.. closest races i've ever seen!.. i'd have them threw 1st.. 2nd they would pull about half a truck length ahead but i'd get that back tacking out 2nd and pull ahead in 3rd

as far as i know the v10's never did come with a manual so i'm pretty sure it was an auto. little slower shifts.
also it weighs a lot more than that 318 so you got some advantage there. and you have a 1500 so it's even lighter still with the dana 44's and corporate 9.25.
i would've been surprised if you hadn't taken him down in the top end.
still good showing of the dodge's power. either way i would've been happy seeing either of you win.

this is interesting....is there any chance that one of you V10 guys might hit the track? ive not seen a V10 ram (other than the srt10) run...i think that depending on the outcome, it would surprise alot of people
