thats pretty interesting..there is a guy at my local track trying to break the record for a "Stock" SC. last year he was running 11.80s, full interior and all.

but anyway, fords are beat. glad to see youre returned from the darkside.

while i dont care what my car would turn top end, al that matters to me is my 1/4 time. if i had 4000 to spent on the car, i could be in the 10s, mostly because a friend of the family's builds ultra hipo hemis...his runs mid 8s in a 62 plymouth. he also does full chassis drag cars, and we have talked to him about main my 91 shadow RWD, and putting my 340 in it. and my 83 mirada runs 12.60s now, 4000 would get me well into the 11s, if not better, because with 4g i could get good pistions and heads, and not be running 87 octane.

hope you dont get all pissy like some peope do, and im not trying to talk trash, i just coudlnt imagien spending 4g on a car and not having it run 10s. actually, the only reason i replied at all was ebcause it was a ford, and i hate fords. but anyway..to the important part...so what did you buy with the 16g that guy gave you for the ford??

 

Glad to see that you found your way back and put some into the Roadrunner. I wish I had $16,000 to put in mine, it would be right where I've been wanting to get it to.

 

damn...16 grand would have me sittin in a low 12s SRT4. or a hemi mirada, running 10s, in which case, i WOULD call it a muscle car...because people with a BB hemi can do whatever they want...)

you bought quarters...wow...so the car wasnt, well, real nice when you got it?

 

$16K should get you a SRT-4 that's in the 10's as well, but I like the Hemi Mirada idea, can't say that I've ever seen or heard of one either.
