hey guys im new here, this is my first post so if i screw up tell me lol.. ok well this week i was driving home when 2 kids probly 16 or 17 stopped next to me at a light. One kid stuck his head out the window and asked if i wanted to try and keep up, well i got pissed off and told him he looses he gets my fist drilled into his face, he laughed and reved his gay sounding car.. so as soon as the light turned green i stomped on the gas and chirep for a good 100 feet. they were next to me for about 3rd gear then i juss started to see them in my mirror farther and farther away then a turn was ahead and they put there signal on and turned b4 i could get to bash him... but now i see them and they dont even look, even with his ugly little girlfriend nothing... by the way. i have a 99 dodge stratus 2.4L with a cai(if that counts) its the (DOHC)

 

First, you want to hit someone for challenging you? Real mature; then again you are probably around 16 or 17 so that kind of behavior is somewhat expected. In the future kid either come up with a witty retort or fast car that would be my suggestion.

Second, a pretty much stock Stratus beating a VR6 would never happen in a "real" race. The guy was either messing with you or he had to make a turn up ahead.

 

A VR6 will beat a Stratus even with a so-so driver. The R/T is a fairly good match depending on the year of both cars and driver experience, but a regular Stratus against a VR6 is a hands down victory for the VR6. Here is how they stack up stock:

1995 Dodge Stratus ES 9.4 17.0
2001 Dodge Stratus R/T 7.4 15.7
2002 Dodge Stratus R/T 8.7 16.7
2003 Dodge Stratus R/T 7.2 15.9

vs.

1995 Volkswagen GTI VR6 7.1 15.5
1996 Volkswagen GTI VR6 6.7 15.1

sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead but i call BS.. i have an 01 jetta VR6 2.8L and will be more then welcome to show you wut a vr6 can do. my vr6 ran a 14.4 at HRP in baytown with just exhuast. so i doubt you beat a vr6.

Got any videos? I have video of my Hemi whoopin a 200? VR6 with intake and exhaust. I'm pretty sure bone stock VR6's only run 15.xx's

 

no i dont have any videos of it,but i do have time slips. gtech said 14.6 but i managed to run a better time at HRP in baytown. and it depends on wut 200? model u raced..some are 12v and then they replaced it with 24v in 02-03? and it had more HP.
