ok this is completely off topic but.. i have no other forum that would fit... i have a 2nd gen intrepid, and i was hoping to vamp it up, but im a newb... total newb when it comes to tuning and performance to be honest i know about 1/100000th compared to u guys about cars... and i was hoping if you guys could give me a short list of parts to make my car a lil less ordinary not necessarily top shelf (yet) but street worthy. by parts i mean actual performance... not any of this aesthetic rice garbage... help would be appreciated thanks....
wolfwood, before trying to "soup up" your car you should try to get at least a vague knowledgeof how a car runs/drives, making more power is as simple as getting moreair into and out of the engine quicker.but how you can do this is the hard part.

Until you lean the engine out and break ****. Making more power is a combination of increasing airflow (into and out of the engine) as well correspondingly increasing fuel. Air and fuel is what power. One will only do so much w/ out the addition of the other, until a rich or lean situation is created, which you do not want.
To the guy w/ the Intrepid- there's not really much you can do to increase your cars performance. There is little to no aftermarket support for car, so anything more than an intake an exhaust is out of the question. Maybe not even that much. What you can do though, is restore the performance (some it it anyways) your car had when new. Have all your cars' fluids drained and replaced w/ new quality ones. Make sure your car has nothing that needs to be fixed (leaking gaskets, foul plugs, etc), and if it does fix it. Next, run a bottle of fuel-injection system cleaner through to clean dirty injectors, andsoon. You might be able to pick up a K&N filter for car fromAutoZone or something. That'll help some. Just giving your car a good tune-up and staying on top it's maintenance will go a long way. Unfortunately, though, you're gonna have to wait to get a new ride if you really want to get into heavy modding. Some cars just aren't cars to mod, Intrepids are one of them.......
