So i was driving amanda's truck, coming back from buying oil and filter for the ramcharger, and i see a dark silver jetta with a body kit on it, weaving around behind me, and as it gets behind me to turn left. we had to sit at the light for a moment, and as i was waiting, i could hear him revving..and revving..and revving...so i let him hear the truck, and i could see him laugh, and there was alot of chatter as they were checking out the back of the truck. when the light turned green, i made the left turn, and had it in first, nice and slow and just as i thought, the jetta tried to swing out around me onto the four lane road and i hammered it down, and stayed right with him, and gradually pulled on him, even though he had the initial run. i pulled on him up until 85 or so, and i slowed down, and he came again, trying to get a run at me...and again, i turned him away. i was supposed to turn, but i was curious to see how much of a beating this kid wanted to deal with, and we were approaching another light, with no traffic in site, i slowed for a yellow. he got along side of me, and he no longer had the smile on his face. as the cross traffic slowed, he pulled the expected punk move and began rolling out into the intersection, and i revved the motor, making sure that he saw me laughing at him, and when the light changed, even with some tire spin, i made very short work of him...again. i slowed down once i was far enough ahead of him, and this time, no ricer flyby...i slowed more, waiting for him, and he slowed in respect to how i slowed down..i then turned around and came home...

 

LOL! Non-turbo Jetta's are pertty damn slow. VR6's and 2.0 are crap...I use to rape them in my truck. You gotta watch out for the modded 1.8T's though.

 

i think that it may have been an auto too..or a poorly shifted manual...

I've been beaten by modded 1.8t's. After a downpipe and tune, that thing will rip you a new "a hole".

 

my vr6 will rip you a new a hole.. dude 1.8t and vr6s are nto that much diff in power rang.. you need to read up ur info on VW;s ... my vr6 w/ giac tune,aem CAI and full exhuast will hang with a 1.8t with tune and full turbo back exhuast. so i duno where you got your info that 2.8L vr6 are slow. mine ran a 14.4with just the GIAC tune
