after you do your burnout (burnout wont be necessary with street tires, but its damn fun so do it anyway!) you will inch up to the line, light the top set of staging lights, you arent staged until the second set of staging lights is lit.... (remember if the top set goes out but the bottom stays lit you are STILL STAGED!)

Once both cars are staged the tree will start its countdown, you want to go about half way through the third yellow light... dont wait for green.... I usually say "ONE" in my head immediately as the third yellow is lit, and go right after that.... dont worry too much about your reaction time... it doesnt effect your e/t at all... just get comfortable with the process.

Thanks for the info freedom. My R/T shouldnt be too bad because I have raced dirtbikes for years so i'm good at jumping once it's time to go but i'm just kinda nervous since i've never done this and I don't want to look like an idiot haha.

if you have stock/street tires avoid the burn out box..avoid the water. the water will just get in your treads and cause you to spin and get a ****ty 60ft. but like freedom said try to go as soon as the last yellow light is on dont go ahead or you will red light. if you do multiple runs try and see where the "good spots" are. ex: try to see where the track is most sticky. also try to keep your gas under a 1/4 tank of gas for less weight. if you have stock tires drop the rear tires air pressure to keep you from spinning alot.
