FoxSports Larry McReynolds, in his latest column mentions...."I bet it won't be long until we see him [Michael 'Fatback' McSwain] surface with a pretty good race team. I've even heard some rumblings — not to take anything away from Ben Leslie — but I've heard rumblings that he may reunite with [#21] Ricky Rudd. But that's strictly rumors and rumblings."

UPDATE: Crew chief Michael McSwain may not be on the sidelines long. McSwain, who had Ricky Rudd in the national-championship hunt a few years back and who had Bobby Labonte sixth in this year's standings when he was abruptly dropped by car owner Joe Gibbs last week, is getting a long, hard look from Jack Roush and could be joining the Roush camp soon, according to team sources. McSwain and Rudd split acrimoniously [bitter] two years ago, but there are reports the two could be getting back together. Roush yesterday didn't directly comment on the reports about hiring McSwain but indicated "there might be something there."
