this isnt really a racing story..but the RT ran a new best of 16.11@86.5 mph. it was very hot, and the mirada was off about 0.09+ seconds...hopefully that will mean once cooler air comes around, in october or so, it may get close to the 15s...
a friend of ours has film of me in the mirada, and my dad in the mirada running the RT. although, unless it was a very wide angle lens, there will only be one car in the frame after the first 5 secons or so.
andfor the record..my RT is an automatic. (someone else in another forum made a comment about that beinf terrible, and asked made some comment about whether or not my clutch was any good..

I think I may have been the one who made the comment about it. I don't recall saying it was horrible time, just I thought they were quicker than that. I am hoping to get out one more time in early fall when there is some nice crisp cool air.
no no..it was a whole different site..not DF. although you did make a comment about my car being "awfully slow", or something to that effect...j.k...lol
the track prints the weather stuff on the time slips..
93 degrees
68% relative humidity
28.14 in/hg
the mirada usually runs 12.68-12.71 at this track, and my BEst time of the weekend was 12.77, most of my runs were in the hgih 70s/low 80s. the runs in the 12.60s were on high 60 degree nights..so hopfully the RT will see a gain half as good as the gain the mirada sees.

Hey. You forgot to mention the most important factor in the new best time. Bimmerbob was driving and the 100 lbs. less of drivers weight makes a difference.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Yeah. All other things being equal, I think it's pretty cool the old man bested your time. Funny thing is that 100 lbs. should only equal 1 or 2 tenths according to the ET calculator.[sm=smiley20.gif]
when i ran the car last time, i didnt have the small tires, or the CAI. while his weight does account for part of the drop in time, i didnt have all of the upgrades that he did.
