there is a kid running at PRP who got a mid 80s CRX that had burned out. he took a turbo off of a corvair, and since it wouldnt fit, they welded it to the manifold. they then made turbo piping out of 2 inch exhaust pipe, no bends, all cut into pieces and angled with rubber sleeves. those sleeves only allow him to run somewhere in the area of 10 psi, but with no interior left, a seat they basically welded in, no radio, no heater..so on...just the stock motor, with a turbo welded in, and the rest o the exhaust welded onto the turbo, he runs 13.30s. i think thats amazing...no rice there...no fart can muffler or body it. its brutally ugly, the rims dont match...but its fast, and he has a hell of alot of fun at the track. they re-ran the wiring needed to make the engine run, and the lights work, and that was all. all the ricerboys with the body kits, and 17s...and systems..so on, are ALWAYS complaining about how this kid has an ugly car that is several seconds faster than their cars. the paint is bubbled off, and he has decals on the side windows that say "unless youre naked, stay away from my car, zippers and buttons scratch", and "fingerprints **** me off..DO NOT TOUCH". its hilarious.

At least the guy has a car that runs halfway decent. Not like this fool who thinks just because he has a Zex sticker and some cam gears that it'll run 12's. [sm=smiley8.gif]

or the ultra rice move, have the Zex decal with a fire extinguisher, painted purple, with some braided hoses glued on, and call it a nitrous bottle..

I can respect the fact that you want to do something to your car, but don't go around pounding your chest making unrealistic claims while hassling people who don't care.

That would be to realistic, a true ricer would use a Mountain Dew 2 liter instead of the fire extinguisher.[sm=smiley8.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]

This all took place at the local Midas shop. My friend Chad works there with the Honda wanna-be. Chad drives turbo K-cars and currently has a intercooled Lebaron convertible. I keep telling Chad to just stomp this guy and get it over with. I suppose the honda owner wouldn't learn his place on the foodchain anyway.[sm=smiley2.gif]

To do that the truely ricer way, they would have to be using a Mountain Dew 2 liter bottle, instead of a fire extinguisher. And aluminum foil taped to a garden hose for the braided line.[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]

now, i honestly couldnt even see a hondu guy doing that..that seems more like a late 80s ricer-beretta guy, or maybe an EXP or escort GT.

i can agree with what you guess have said so far honda can be fast but you have to stick alot of money into it. my buddy is an import guy and he had 95 talon that ran low 12's in the quater. and he has about 9 g's stuck into the car including car cost. and he was talking to this guy that runs a honda civic that had over 10 g's under the hood alone and he could only run mid 12s in the quater but only at the strip with slicks but my buddies car could do it at the strip and at the street. hondas down fall is the fact none of there cars have a turbo and in order to run a turbo you need to sleeve the block if you want to push and good amout of boost.they can't run no more then like 10 to 15 plbs of boost. so they are losing only because of that reason if they change that. i think they could be a real contender.
