Hi, im 16 and i am currently in high school and ive recieved a challenge. This punk at school just got a 05 civic, i think si not sure though. I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.9 liter V8. The ony mods to mine is a k and n air filter. My truck runs hard and im sure i can beat them, but every kid at school goes against me. Tell me what yoy think? Were racing at a local dragway in the quarter of a mile.

 

if its an Si, its going to crush you so long as he knows how to drive a manual transmission.

the lower models only have 140hp, but a well driven manual trans model might still give you a run..

what trans do you have, what body, and 4wd?

 

alot of kids think the civic is the greatest thing ever and can beat any car out there because people mod the crap out of them and can make them pretty fast, like on fast and the furious. what people dont understand is that stock, theycan be outrunby kids on bicycles. i ran my friend in his 01 civic. i have an 04 4 door 4.7 so its a pig, and he won but he has a manual and i have an auto, and he didnt winby much, maybe a length -a lenght and a half. if you know how to drive, you might take him.

You should beat him off the line, but once he winds that thing uphe's gone especially over a 1/4 mile. You'd do better against him in the 1/8 mile and if he's not very good you might just beat him, but not in the 1/4 unless he breaks something.

 

yeah..the only way that youre going to beat him if its a newSi, is if its a manual, and he doesnt have legs...

 

if its an Si youll be doin that stuff like on Pinks where you ask for 20 lengths and still probably get beat.

 

Yeah civics aren't the fastest car out there but if he knows how to drive and it is a si they i dont hink you have a chance man sorry

If the car has anSI badge on the back then it's an SI...FYI. (Should also have a V-tec stickeron the side)And if it is an SI or an EXit will beat you.
