I was on my way home from work last night and I just turned onto North bound telegraph from Oarchard lake road. At the first light (Vooheis) this kid in a VW Jetta pulled up and started reving. Knowing the light timing for the stiplike I do , ie you speed you get nothing but red, I let him take me. With fart pipe screaming he takes off, catching gears as fast as he can, giving it all he's got. When I pull up next to him at the next light (m59/huron) I look over and he has this big poop eating grin on his face, pleased as can be. The light cycles to green and he takes off again and I let him take me again. I can tell he thinking "I'm owning this hemi!" Now that I boosted his ego a bit I decided to shatter his pride. he he he
next light, Elizabeth lake road, I hit the O/D off button and slide the leaver down to the #2 position. I looked over laughing, gave a nod, and brake torqed up to 1.5 to 2 k. light turned green and i proceed to pull away from him quickly. Before I know it Im doin 100 and he's nothing but headlights in my mirror. the Jetta finaly caught up with me where telegraph turnes into dixie. at the light he sheepishly put his hands up and said "you got me"

My first kill and I loved every minut of it!!!

My truck dosen't have the guts (power) to race sorry to say...but hey! It's fun to rev the engine and then let the person with a fancy sports car next to you think you wanna race them and they take off wasting gas or you know where the cop hideouts are around town.[sm=icon_rofl.gif] I love being bad[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley4.gif] They take off anyway whether you rev your engine or not. Go figure!

It's a male ego thing. You're a female driving a traditional male power symbol, a pickup. Insecure males cannot handle that, hence the racing of the engines for no real reason. Maybe it's a throwback to the caveman days.
