So I'm out in my 96 Ram when I come up on this RX-7. Not the older ones, but one of the last models before Mazda went to the RX-8. Anyway, this guy was asking to get owned. Even had one of thoughs "My other ride is your girlfriend" plate frames. He slows down and is looking for a red light. He finally gets one where? At the bottom of a LONG hill. He revs at me and I rev back. Light goes green and I had a half car hole shot on this guy. We hit the hill, and it like his car DIED. I'm pulling away with ease and he's banging gears and backfiring every shift. Hit the next light and he says "I can't believe I just go beat by a truck" Yeah, your car is a torqueless wonder!

Horsepower is just for braging. Torque is where the race is won.

 

That's right.[sm=exactly.gif] It most likely would have had a different outcome if it were a turbo RX-7, it would still be far less torque that what you have but it would have been sufficient enough to have changed the ending. The N/A RX-7's are completely worthless and have absolutely no torque, they are only decent on the top end. Glad to hear that you burried the little rice bomb.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=thanx.gif] There is one around hear that is a riced up 3rd gen like the one you stomped and I wouldn't mind stomping him myself.[sm=smiley4.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif]
