man you wanna talk about some bs...... a kid at my school got a scion tc when he was 15, it sat around until he turned 16. he did some really simple mods to it; intake/exhaust, but high class stuff not ebay crap. not a rocket, but it was fun to drive. he had a 1 thousand dollar racing seat put into it. wrecked it once, (ran into back of someone at redlight) paid 7k for it to be fixed. got it back, and his dad bought him some really nice drilled/slotted brake rotors. 2 weeks later, totals it wrapping it around a tree.

all this within 4 months of getting it..... so now his dads buying him an EVO 8. an evo. a freakin evo.......... this kills me. his daddy will buy him anything...........

 

i went to school with a guy (before he went to jail) that had an 06 evo. he totaled it (DWI i think) he got kicked out of school the next week for pulling the fire alarms, and had to go to jail for a few days. when he got out, his daddy bought him an 07 escalade. 2 weeks later, he got caught with drugs, driving under the influence of drugs, trespassing, and destroying publice property (doing donuts at a city park). he complained about the escaladebecause it was too big, so he got another sports car, but i dont remember what this one was. he eventually screwed up big time and went to jail for a long long time. maybe if his parents were a little more responsible, he would have turned out differently, but when your kid goes to jail, and the day he gets out, you buy him a cadillac, what kind of message does that send??? if i got put in jail my truck would be sold and my social life would be over.

 

ya where i live i have alot of kids like that, southlake Texas.. rich kids, most of there parents own car dealerships or are doctors or somthing, and they get ANYTHING they want, ive seen a 16 year old with a Z06 and some other kids at that school with outragous cars, BMW 5 series, SRT10s Rams, Tons of BMW cars, if you go to that school you wont see one damn hunk of junk in there parking lots, except where the teachers park. Pretty sad when a 40 year old driving around a old ford escort with dints and half the paint gone, and you got ms. rich bitch driving around a v12... makes me sick.

I worked for everything i have, ive had a v6 4.0 Ranger, got rear ended by a mexican with no id, insurance, green card, and didnt speak english,

then i got a 4banger ranger (worst truck ever)!

then i got my v8 5.9 Dak R/T making payments of about 200 a month stil have 3 grand to pay off...

but these kids first cars are ZO6s and v12 BMWs that makes me sick.

 

Yeah i hate it when momma and daddy buys their kids everything .. i have a 91 stealth that i bout about a year ago now for 1k it has a blown motor and i have been wanting to fix it but my carpayment and everythigng else takes all my pay cheack finaly i'm getting back my taxes and am going to drop a motor in it soon .

 

that sounds like the typical daddy will buy me everything kid. my friend has a 02 silverado his dad gave him. he's went through 2 engines, 3 tranny's, couldnt count how many rearends and T-cases. he off roads every weekend in it and breaks major stuff on it. and daddy pays to fix it. his insurance is $2000/ month!! but guess who pays that..... daddy.

but that kid is gonna kill himself if he didnt learn his lesson from the last crash.

when I have kids I will buy them a beater and let them save up for a good car.

 

when i have kids i will help them buy a vehicle that is nice so that they will have a dependable vehicle to drive around and not something that is gonna cost them a lot in repairs or leave them stranded on the side of the road broke down. they will have a nice vehicle but nothing fast. i think its a bad idea giving kids sports cars as their first vehicle. when they turn 18 if they are responsible and have a job, then ill sign the title over to them. after that if they want to mod the hell out of it, or trade it in for a faster car then thats fine, but im not gonna be the one that supplies my kid with a car to kill him or herself in.

 

there was a kid at my highschool who had a very nice eclipse ESI that daddy bought him. He was driving home drunkand rolled it on the highway, almost died. When he got out of the hospital about 2 weeks later, there was another Eclipse TSI waiting for him. He has since lost his licence for DWI or DUI, and massive fines for racing without a licence. Just one of those kids who thnk nobody can touch them cuz dadddy gives him anything.

 

I know a kid that flipped his o6 charger r/t while he was drunk driving so his parents bought him an 07 charger SRT8 since that's what he really wanted at first. I see tons of high school kids around here driving Z06's evo's sti's, G35's, 350z's. I went to a party at some 5 million dollar house and the kid drove a lifted duramax and I was talking to him about it then he said hey wanna see my weekend driver? I said ok and he took me to the garage and it was a silver ferrari enzo, his dad drives a rolls phantom and his mom drives a bentley arnage. I don't care when kids get stuff like that because I know if my parents could, they would and when I'm older I'll do the same for my kids if I can. You can spoil a kid but raise them to not be spoiled and respect their stuff.

 

ok now that he finally got it, let me clarify: Evo IX MR........... that thing is so freakin sick (i put 8 earlier..... its a 9)


i cant wait for him to total it.

 

I hope none of his friends are with him when he does.
