Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

If you're careful the stock axles should hold up fairly well, but if you break em' you can either put money into them with stronger components, or upgrade to 1 ton axles. As far as lockers go, you want a selectable locker in the front, but an automatic locker like a Detroit locker will work fine in the rear, or if you don't drive on the street that often you can get away with a spool, or a Lincoln locker(welded differential) in the rear. Stock motor and trans will work fine, but if you don't have the right gear ratio it will seem underpowered. Hope this helps.
