Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default power wagon power issue

Hey guys,
I got a 1976 power wagon i got built up as a mud truck, however, i have a slight problem. i have no power to the gauges and signals. problem started last fall before i parked it for the winter, none of the gauges work and i have no signals. a friend of mine thinks its the key cyclinder, but i think it something else, anyone else here have any ideas short of doign a full rewire of the truck?

thanks

Is it all guages including the speedo?
Do the signals work outside the truck?
When I bought my truck, the dash had obviously been apart before.
On my way home with it, nothing worked I pulled the dash apart and the plug and speedo were unplugged. I would start there.

defidently not a fuse, and everythings plugged in, im starting to think that its the printed circuit board that controls all the gauges.

The printed curcuit board woudn't affect the speedometer or the signals out side the truck.
Pull it out, should be easy to see if one of the leads is burnt.

Check the fuse thats in the back of the speedo circuit board, it looks like a little round cylinder thats pushed in a slot in the board, it controls the guages by converting 12v to 5 v they do go bad, you'll see what I am talking about when you turn the board over. Hope this is the fix for ya..............
