Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default no working fuel or temp gauge (1989)

Have any of you had similar problems on your dodge? I didnt know if they were related since both were bad instead of the temp sensor and sending uint being bad?

thanks

Check the ground connection to your gauge panel. If the ground is loose or dirty, it could cause the electrical gauges to be intermittent or fail.

We have an 83 ramcharger, an 84 350 dump truck, a 79 powerwagon, a 92 250 Cummins and the fuel gauges on all of them do not work. The 84 oil pressure gauge is shot and replaced with an aftermarket one. I know a few others with the fuel gauge problem, and replacing the sending unit does'nt help either. Check grounds, but most likely, the cheap fix is to use the trip meter aand fill up the tank every 200 miles or so.
