Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default New to me 1980 dodge power wagon w150

Just picked up a new to me 1980 dodge ram power wagon w150. Has a 318 and a 3sp with overdrive. Has about a 3" lift I think. Have several questions
The speedometer is very funky. It will get stuck in random places on the gauge. Will this require a new speedo or cable or both? Where is the cable attached to the trans?
It has an aftermarket radio shoved into the dash to the right of the steering wheel. It's not bolted done or anything. Is there a bracket that I can install to mount the radio?
What are some common upgrades to get more power?
Intake mani and 4bbl carb? How much power does an intake and carb swap make? Anything else?

The 318 has tons of potential! Here's a quick article I wrote about power increases.

Thanks, seems like its basically the same as efi stuff. Already have a 650hp 01 gmc Sierra. Got this as a fun dd. what is needed for a cam swap? I noticed I have a small leak on the radiator. What is a good aftermarket resistor. Doesn't have to be the best, since I live in North Dakota and rarely sees over 85*F. Was looking at the edelbrock 1405 4bbl 600cfm carb. And a set of 14" fans mounted to a custom shroud behind the radiator. Wired to two switches in the cab. Any info on the radio? Currently out of tunes

Also thinking about adding this gauge

The coolant temp gauge doesn't work and I don't have a tach. And I like knowing what the voltage is.
