Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default Greetz from Vienna/Austria/Europe

Hey guys,

two month ago another dream came true: Bought my first US-car - a Ramcharger '78, 318 cui.

The ride is in good shape, except the engine...
I'm going to keep this car for as long as possible, it should be a fun car though. Infact I'm no mechanic and ain't got the time to improve my mechanic-skills soon - so can you please gimme some infos concerning where to buy new/used COMPLETE performance engines which are suitable for my specific car?

Around 450-500 stable HP, that's my goal.
Money to be wasted including work: U$ 10.000,-
Is this a realistic project plan?

Thx and best whishes,
Christian

Still in good shape for a 78.

There are a fair few places that sell crate motors around here, trouble is, I don't know of any that ship to Europe..... Might try Summit Racing, Jegs, Hughes Engines, etc.
