1975 W300 Throttle linkage.
I have a 1975 W300 that I got in parts. No engine. I picked up a 318 for it.
I got in running but the throttle cabel looks to long for the bracket, unless you clamp on the plastic part of the cable. This is a 4sp truck. We had a 1976 W350 fire truck with a stick and that cable looks shorter then mine. The guy at the parts store says my cable runs to the front. He usually is good with his info. I have the one that bolts to the back and spring return bracked to the front, just cable length seems wrong. Anybody have pictures of a 74 with 4sp. Thanks

Can you post a picture? Hard to visualize something that has or may have been modified over the years.
A lot of folks are going with the Lokar throttle cable rather than using the old stuck stuff.

Thanks Dave.
I think I will order 1. I looked at them on ebay, just a little more then I wanted to sped. But don't want the throttle sticking so I will blow the dust off of the credit card.
My 1975 W300 was a old Air Force truck then a Town truck from Montana.
4x4 4sp. PTO winch, 318 with 5:89 gears. I have only a little $$$ in it. Truck was only $500 witn no engine.
I did put a new oil pump and timming chain in it, just wishing I would have put the 340 cam in it.
