Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Wanted, for sale

Anybody who has read some of my posts should realize that I'm rather chea...er...thrifty. I did a quickie search to see what is near me and found this.

This looks solid but I think a kid has it and they tend to butcher cars. It's about as far north as I'd look due to cars tending to dissolve farther north.

If you tell the seller what you expect and what you wont(lies about condition) you may be able to get what you are looking for. From what it sounds like you want one with NO issues and no fixing. The ad above has pics of (what looks like) 4 different vehicles and i would think he is selling the black one. I dont think this is what the op is looking for. The i think is ones here are more on the mark condition wise. When i bought my indy ram i asked the seller a lot of questions and bought it sight unseen on ebay. The seller was great answered every question in detail with pics. It was as he described it to be and i was very happy when i received it. I think i am in the lower percentage of this from what you see no there now.

Buying sight-unseen is a terrifying thought Moparight, I did it once from a dealer, and got burned badly. I think I'm going to hang on until the Mecum auction in Indy where there are 3 to look at. I can check them out in one trip and make it worthwhile. I just don't want any more projects, rather something I can get in and enjoy someone else's work. I'm getting ready to sell my 70 Plymouth 'cuda, and I'm getting out of the muscle car stuff.

I posted the ad as a example. The extra vehicles were what he was aiming at. If the vehicles you're looking at in Indy are local, look REALLY close for rust. I like the RamCharger/Trailduster rides and miss the two I've owned in the past. Don't limit yourself to a RamCharger. The Plymouth TrailDuster is the same vehicle, just different badging. If you get a 1978 or earlier, you might be able to get one with a big block. The early ones have a removable hardtop and the 1980 and later are solid tops that don't come off.

I wouldn't have an issue with a Trailduster at all, but they are scarce. I'm in East Texas, so Indy is a ways away. I appreciate the suggestions and help.
