Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default 1993 Dodge W250 5.9 gas, won't start

History on truck I have owned for 8 years. 7 years ago it stopped working all of a sudden. Replaced many items turned out to be crankshaft position sensor. Running fine since, parked vehicle in driveway (3 weeks ago) and would crank over but not start. Pushed out of driveway, turned it over and it started. Put in gear and it turned off. Haven't been able to replicate the same start. Have replaced crankshaft position sensor, distributor pickup sensor (some refer to it as cam sensor), ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor, asd relay, spark plug wires and scratched knuckles. Sprayed starting fluid in carb intake, no start. Checked for spark at plug wire, no spark. Checked for spark coming out of ignition coil, no spark. Need some help running down the 'no spark' off the ignition coil. Transmission rebuilt 1 1/2 years ago.

Verify you are getting power TO the coil. Keep in mind, there will only be power there for about three seconds, unless the PCM sees the engine turning. (which is the second test. )
