Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default 1988 Dodge Power Ram 150

I'm new here, so hello everyone....I just bought this truck, 1988 Dodge Power Ram 150... almost rust free except for the bottom 2 inch of front fenders... But the transfer case is cheewed up and the rear end is different that the original. How do I find out that gtear rear end I need to put in this truck so I can replace the transfer case? Like I said, its a 1988 Dodge Power Ram 150 318 Throdal Body injection. I found no build number plates under the hood.... no stickers in the doors... all I have is a vin number, is that enough to tell me?

I know in mine and I have a 1984 Ramcharger 150, that it has a d44 and I think other is a 9.25 by chrysler. I am pretty sure mine is 3.23 for the gear ratio or something close. I would have to say it would be pretty similar set up. Have you tried posting on there they are super knowledgable people.

You can request a build sheet from Dodge via this link: http://www-5.dodge.com/wccsapp/unive...ull&category=R

Not sure if it will work with older trucks, but you can give it a shot. Good luck!

Big gear is the ring gear

And 46/Ring 13/Pinion would be a ratio of 3.54/3.55

Check under the front seat inside the cushion area for a sheet.
FYI-Both the front end and rear end need to be the same ratio.

All of this info is for the cover only...41545 is the DANA part number for the cover,
DANA
41545
033 0
REV RP
12 22 83

If you want to find out the real skinny on what axle asm you have...you have to locate the BOM (Bill Of Material) number that is usually stamped on one of the tubes on the axle assembly. Might be something like 610277-1 or 610329-2.
